Sterols and Sterolins have been shown in scientific research to play an important role in supporting the immune system.

Moducare® is a proprietary formula of Sterols and Sterolins, in the same ratio that has been found in nature, that has been scientifically researched for over 20 years. The Sterols and Sterolins in Moducare have been shown to be important in helping to keep the body's immune system in balance when taken on a long term basis.

Supplementation with Sterols and Sterolins helps maintain an optimum balance of these micronutrients and provides a natural means of supporting the body's defence system to keep up with the demands of modern life.

Phytosterols

Sterols & Sterolins (collectively referred to as Phytosterols) are plant compounds, found in the membranes of all plants, that are chemically similar to cholesterol but different in biological function. Only plants can synthesise these Phytosterols, which may be regarded as essential micronutrients since both animals and humans need to obtain them from their diets.

Although Sterols & Sterolins are found naturally in fruits, vegetables, seeds and nuts, it is often difficult to obtain optimum amounts through diet alone. It is also difficult for our bodies to absorb optimum amounts of Sterols and Sterolins from our food as these are bound to the fibres in plants. Furthermore, food preparation methods such as cooking, processing and preserving often destroy or remove valuable plant nutrients from our diet.

Ingredients:

Magnesium Silicate, Gelatine, Plant Sterols & Sterolins.

3 Capsules contain:
Plant Sterols (Beta-Sitosterol) 60mg
Plant Sterolins (Betasitosterol Glucoside) 0.6mg

Directions for Use:

Take 3 capsules daily: for best results take one capsule 1 hour before meals. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.
Not to be taken by recipients of organ and tissue transplants.
Diabetics should consult their doctor before use as Moducare may reduce Insulin requirements.
Moducare should not be taken by pregnant or lactating women, or by young children under 5 years
Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied diet.

Sterolins (from pine)	0.2 mg	0.6 mg

Geletine Capsules, Other ingredients: rice flour, magnesium silicate.

Not recommended for: Recipients of foreign organs and tissues, including bone marrow and corneal transplants, are cautioned not to take any immune-regulating nutritional supplements. Therefore, Moducare is NOT recommended for transplant patients. People with synthetic replacement/reconstruction will not be affected, e.g. hip, knee, breast, or pacemaker.

If you are pregnant, nursing, a diabetic, an organ transplant recipient or have multiple sclerosis, do not use unless on the advice of and under the direct supervision of a health care professional.
